Memory Wizard (Pty) Ltd was formed in 1989 as a member of the M & P Group of companies. The M & P Group has been in existence since 1976 with the creation of APEX Computer Bureau. The two most recent additions to the group being Memory Wizard Project Management & Consultancy and Memory Wizard Control Systems. In the early years Memory Wizard (then known as S A Telecom) ran a mainframe computer bureau supplying online/real-time computer services to such household names as Atlas Aircraft Corporation, SASOL, Electric Centre (now called Voltex), and A.C.B., etc. Top level security clearance was needed for both Atlas Aircraft and A.C.B., and in fact Memory Wizard ran all South African electronic SWIFT transfers to every other bank in the world, through two of its mainframe computers. During the period 1993 - 1994, with the advent of powerful Personal Computers, Memory Wizard decided to change the direction of the company and began importing and distributing PCs and PC components. Since that date we have built an excellent reputation throughout the Southern African business region and are now one of the leaders in importation of PC components. We have in excess of 2,500 active clients worldwide, in such diverse countries as the USA, the UK, the EEC, Hong Kong, India, Australia and sub-Saharan Africa. From the outset we have been dedicated to supplying our customers with products of the highest quality, yet at the lowest possible prices; to this end our management team visit the Far East five or six times a year to cement current business alliances. We purchase only from the most reliable companies who are looking for long-term partnerships. We purchase from over 100 different suppliers located across the globe, including the USA, the EEC, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea; and have several thousand stock items available. Our products conform to European Standards (CE) and (TUV) and as such are supported by their original manufacturers warranty. We pride ourselves on the various back up and support systems, that we have implemented throughout the years in an effort to offer our customers the best possible service.
